Launch WinAVI video convert. In the first screen. Please click the button on the main interface (or you can click "menu" button on the main interface, then select "Any to WMV format" on the submenu of the "format convert"), and then the program will switch to "Any to WMV format" interface.

In this interface you need to select the file(1) you want to convert and the output directory output directory (2) which is where you want WinAvi to put the files into.Then you can click this "Advanced" button to do some more settings for the output file(3).

Please look at the details as followings:
Encoder:

You can select encoder for your wmv files from the drop down menu of the "Encoder" as above.
NOTE: if you select neither the "WMV8 Quality Encoder" nor "WMV9 DVD Quality Encoder" for the wmv encoder, well, you can not be allowed to set the " Picture size" and "Quality" for the output files.

Picture size:
You can set the height of the output file from 176 to 960; and width from 144 to 576. However, when you set the height and width, please make sure that both of them are the multiple of 16.
Split the output file:
If this option is selected, it means that the output file will be splitted. And then you can set the size of the splitted file. However, the minimum size for each splitted file is limitted to 5MB.
Quality:
You can select the Quality for the output file by sliping the Quality sliping-bar. And the higher quality you set, the larger the output file will be.
Audio sample rate:
The audio sample rate is a attribute of audio compression.
Of course, you also can do some additional settings on the "Encode" tab on this "Encoder options" control panel.
When all are ready, please click "OK" to save the settings.

After short time, Converting is over. Press ok to return to maininterface.
