The first you need to do is load the DVD file. Click "Load DVD" button you will see two Choice.
Import From DVD Disk: Select the location of the source drive. AoA DVD Ripper also allows you to load DVD folders from the hard drive that contain IFO and VOB files.
Open an IFO File: You can select an IFO file in the VIDEO_TS folder under the DVD folder. The .IFO files contain menus and other information about the video and audio.

Now, you should select the video format you want to convert(1).and press the "Movie Clip"(2) to the next window.
SVCD uses MPEG2, the same compression like DVD and can offer very good picture quality, not as great as the DVD, but much better than the MPEG1 - based VCD. In the other hand this good quality needs a lot of space so you will usually need 3-4 CDs to write a SVCD movie in.

In this window you can restrict the clip range by sliding the right and the left arrows.

Press the "Chapters" button(3) you can Choose the chapters that you want to copy from the list.
AoA DVD Ripper allows you to save the selected chapters into either one large file or separate files.
For example, if you select four chapters to copy and choose "Save selected chapters into one file", then you'll get one big file which includes all four chapters. If you choose "Save selected chapters into separate files" you'll get four separate files, each containing one of the chapters.

Before converting, you should select the output directory(1) and press the "start" button(2).

The end! Just wait for a short time depending on the movie's length and your PC's speed.
